Founding station of College Radio DAy (2011)

In 2011, General Manager Dr. Rob Quicke created an event known as College Radio Day. The aim of College Radio Day is to harness the combined listener ship of hundreds of thousands of college radio listeners throughout the world and to celebrate the important contribution of college radio by uniting for this one day. That same October, WPSC inaugurated College Radio Day as the first station to kickoff the 24 hour event. Since then, over a thousand different college radio stations nationwide and worldwide have participated in CRD.

Some notable highlights include: Chris Martin of Coldplay kicking off CRD in 2012, Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Wyclef Jean performing at William Paterson University via a national stream, an interview with Vice President Joe Biden and a written Letter of Appreciation by President Barack Obama in 2014.

Marconi Award Finalist (2016 & 2017)

Dubbed the "Oscar's" of radio, Brave New Radio is proud to announce that we have been nominated twice as Non-Commercial Station of the Year by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)

Though we have not won the prestigious radio award, we are proud to receive a nomination nonetheless. Maybe this year!
