Brave New Radio named BEST in the Nation ... AGAIN!
They say winning isn't everything ... but it's all we know how to do! (Okay, sorry for the ego trip, we are just really excited)
On March 3rd, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System held their 78th Annual International IBS Conference at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City. This year, over 1,000 people from all across the country flew to NYC for the conference to learn more about the radio industry and to incorporate these new skills at their respective high school, college, and online radio & television stations. And of course the coveted award ceremony.
We are proud to announce that WPSC-FM (Brave New Radio) came home with FIVE (5) first place trophies, including being named Best College Radio Station in the Nation (with over 10,000 students enrolled) in back-to-back years & for the 4th time in 7 years! (What a feat!)
The other awards we took home are the following:
Best Use of Social Media for our Spotify Playlists
Best Sports Play by Play in Softball
Best Promotional Poster for our New Found Glory ticket giveaway
We also want to give a congratulatory shoutout to William Paterson's television station, WPTV, for their achievements at IBS. Our television station won awards for the following categories:
Best Sports Program
Best Variety Program
Best Use of Graphics
This was undoubtedly a landmark year for Brave New Radio. We would like to extend our sincerest appreciations to the William Paterson student body, the Board of Trustees, President Kathleen Waldron, Dean of College of the Arts & Communication Daryl Moore & Vice Dean Loretta McLaughlin-Vignier, Chairman of the Communication Department and General Manager of BNR, Dr. Rob Quicke, and of course to our amazing supporters and listeners. THANK YOU!
See the moment they announced us as the winner below!
