Brave New Radio Wins Award in New York City
WPSC-FM Brave New Radio at William Paterson University announced it has won an Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Award for Best Liner/Sweeper as part of the 2026 IBS Media Awards. This recognition celebrates the creativity and technical skill of the station’s Production Department and its commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging radio content.
“When the names of my Co-Production Director, Raphael, and myself were announced, it took me a moment to process,” said Alex Gonzalez, Co-Production Director at Brave New Radio and one of the creators of the winning piece. “It brought such excitement that Brave New Radio’s Production Department’s hard work and dedication to producing had paid off and won the award.”
Headquartered in New York City, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the students, faculty, and staff of high school and college media outlets nationwide.
The station was honored with eight IBS Award nominations this year across a range of categories:
