Vinylthon 2024

On Saturday April 20th, Brave New Radio took part in Vinylthon, joining over 170 radio stations who played music directly from vinyl records for a full 24 hours. After frantically searching for records from local record stores, it’s safe to say the hosts of Vinylthon had a much anticipated and exciting experience. Celebrating and embracing the vintage and nostalgic feel that vinyls have to offer, hosts were able to play a wide variety of music from various artists including (but not limited to) Paramore, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, TWICE, and Car Seat Headrest. The On- Air Schedule for how Vinylthon played out included some of Brave New Radio’s directors, as well as other active members of multiple departments within Brave New Radio.

The Vinylthon schedule went as follows:

• 12 AM - 3 AM: Jonathan

• 3 AM - 6 AM: Ian

• 6 AM - 7 AM: Gavin

• 7 AM - 9AM: Baylee

• 9 AM - 2 PM: Barry

• 2 PM - 4 PM: Bella

• 4 PM - 5 PM: Bella & Shannon

• 5 PM - 7 PM: Aria

• 7 AM - 9 PM: Scotty

• 9 PM - 12 AM: Marc

Vinylthon was a remarkable rendition of a “blast from the past” and continues to be a popular tradition at Brave New Radio for years to come!
