I will be playing all old school rap music from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. I will give some background information on the artist, talk about the album the song comes from, and talk about the decade in which the album was released. My goal is to teach the audience about these decades and what inspired a lot of these songs to be written which led them to becoming so popular. I additionally want to talk about what overall has led to old-school rap becoming so popular in the time periods they did. Requests are welcomed and encouraged so I can expand on my music selections throughout the semester. My show will air on Mondays from 11am to 1pm. I hope my show can help my audience understand why old-school rap has transformed the rap industry to what it is today! So, sit back, relax, and get ready to kick it with Dave!
