Funk Band Soul Rebels Perform Live

The 8 members of The Soul Rebels performing their hit song “Real Life” for the Teaneck N.J. crowd.

Teaneck N.J.- Over this past weekend I had the luxury to attend a Soul Rebels concert at Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck N.J. This concert was quite the experience. The Rebels were in their typical form playing their normal hits such as “Good Times” and “Real Life”. Little did they know however they were playing in front of an unorthodox crowd.

Local radio station WPSC 88.7 FM gave away two pairs of tickets to see The Rebels. The winners, Kaitlyn Ball and Jelsimon Jean Louis each admitted they had not so much as heard a Soul Rebels song let alone seen them in concert. However they seemed to be impressed.

“The concert was extremely lively and energetic! The band was able to play so well together.” Ball stated after the show.

This was Ball’s first concert since covid and it did not disappoint. The Rebels may have found a new home at Debonair Music Hall. The horns and the speakers worked together to create a truly magical experience for the ears of the fans.

“Various instruments blasted through the speakers and shocked the room” said Jean Louis as The Soul Rebels were rocking the room.

This concert was a sure fire win for The Soul Rebels as they were able to come from New Orleans to the North and perform at the level they did. There are many new fans of the Rebels after that show and I am one of them.
