Shawn Mendes Debuts North American Leg of His Tour

Shawn Mendes came back to the stage again after taking a break for 3 years. Starting in Europe in August and last Thursday (26) in North America, “Shawn Mendes: On the Road Again” got TD Garden, in Boston-MA, filled with almost 19,000 loyal fans and had Australian singer Eddie Benjamin as his opener.

Last time Mendes performed in Boston was in 2019, where he wrapped up “Shawn Mendes: The Tour”. In 2021, Shawn announced “Wonder: The Tour” that would happen over the summer of 2022, but he stepped back to focus on his mental health, explaining that touring and fame had caused him anxiety, depression, and an overall sense of darkness. Having a comeback in Boston wasn’t only special for the singer, but also for all his fans who were waiting years for a concert.

Shawn kicked things off with “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” and set the energy for the night, where he made sure to play some of his most popular hits, such as “Stiches”, “Señorita” and “Mercy” alongside an incredible and aesthetic visual experience.

Shawn is now off to some cities in Canada but will return to the US going to NY, IL and will complete “Shawn Mendes: On The Road Again” on Oct 17 in Los Angeles, CA.
